How To Submit A Member Service Request
You can submit any request into our system by yourself: Click Members --> New Service Request at the top of the AAH Home Page
If you prefer, you can submit a request by including the information described below in a voicemail or text to (541) 625-6625, or by email to [email protected]. Our volunteer Service Manager of the week will enter your request. We'll contact you if we need any clarifications.
Whichever method you use, this is the information you need to provide:
Type of Service
Select the type of service you are requesting from the pop-up menu on the New Service Request page or from this list.
Purpose
Provide a brief description of what you need. For example, "physical therapy appointment", "weed pulling on small brick patio", etc.
Date, Time and Place for Appointments
Do you need your request to be fulfilled at a specific date and time, such as for a medical appointment, group meeting, or scheduled activity? Enter the date of the event in "Service Date". "Start Time" is when our volunteer should arrive at your house in order to meet your scheduled event.
If this is an appointment be sure to check the box and enter the appointment time, and fill in the name and address of the appointment location. Most transportation requests are Round trip, but you can uncheck that box if you only need a ride one way.
Date, Time and Place for flexible requests
Is the date Flexible? If YES, the “Service Date” should be out at least 1-2 weeks OR the last date you’d like it completed. The entered date will be the last date that the request is visible to volunteers. Is the time Flexible? Check if YES
Approximate Duration and End Time
The Approximate Duration is the total time that our volunteer will need to complete the service, door to door. Be sure to consider driving time between your home, your destination, and back. A rough guess is fine; just be sure to give our volunteers an idea of how much time it may take to complete your request.
End Time is when our work is done and we leave your house. Note that this space will be auto-filled when you select an Approximate Duration, but it does not automatically update if you change anything. Re-check and correct the time if needed.
Be sure to SUBMIT or it won’t get entered into our system!
You will get an email confirmation of your request, and another email when a volunteer accepts it.
To Review, Change or Cancel a request
To review your open requests Click Members->Service Requests Submitted at the top of the AAH Home Page
Unfortunately, once you've submitted a request, you cannot edit or cancel it yourself. Contact us by voicemail or text at (541) 625-6625, or by email at [email protected] to let us know what you need to change.
Please enter your service request at least one week in advance of when you need it. Understand that we are an all-volunteer organization, and we will do our best to fulfill it. However, please have a backup plan ready for firm appointments in case your service request is not fulfilled by one of our volunteers.
